Through this artwork I wanted to express my transformation in life. I felt that using collage would try to mimic bit of pieces of that area in my life. The purple patterned butterfly represented myself on a spiritual level as the colour also signifies the call for spiritual transformation. I felt that doing an angel wing on the opposite site would indicate such. Orange is a colour that signifies new beginning and growth and hence the pregnant woman is seen attached to this butterfly. The white and blue textured and iridescent butterfly was meant to capture the person who is coming out of a cocoon. It's all part of transformation patterned by the cycle of a butterfly that I applied to my life both past and current.
