"Journey of Hope', depicts Moses a biblical character parting the Red Sea so that the Israelites could pass safely to the other side to make their way to the promised land.
Transformation can be seen in this "Journey of Hope" when Moses stretched his hand over the sea, the waters changed in shape and form; from calm ripples to large chaotic waves making a pathway. The clear sky turned stormy and dark clouds quickly gathered. Then the sky was lit up and changed into magical, miraculous, rainbow colours. I used brush strokes of acrylic paints which ran across the canvas to create drama and movement. Symbolic colours of blue, yellow and green were used to portray hope. Transformation can also be seen as an escape from slavery to a new life of freedom for the Israelites.
