About the piece
Nature speaks to me through its quiet details—the shape of a leaf, the pink flash of a heliconia flower, the textured brown of a small bird's nest, and the fleeting presence of hummingbirds in my back yard. Many of these gifts come from the routine pruning of my garden. Before they fade and disappear, there is one last chance to gather and arrange them as ephemeral offerings, preserving nature's abundance in a moment that would otherwise be lost.
