She is marked by experience; he is drawn toward connection.
Across the divide between their canvases, colour, fabric, vegetation and gaze create points of continuation. Yet the two remain distinct. One world is flowers while the other is predominantly greenery; different birds inhabit each space; each figure carries their own visible evidence of having lived.
Together, the works consider legacy as more than inheritance from those who came before us. Legacy is also created through the people we encounter, the experiences that alter us, and the parts of ourselves that become woven into the lives of others.
We arrive individually. We leave traces in one another.
