About the piece
“Breath of the Ancients” emerged from my fascination in how the tree folds into itself, forming a quiet hollow at its core. I was drawn to this space not as emptiness, but as presence - something felt, though unseen. The faint mist I gently introduced, does not alter the scene, but reveals what seems to already exist within it. Nearby, bougainvillea blooms in fleeting vibrance, while the tree stands rooted in memory. In this work, I invite viewers to consider that nature is not passive, but aware... holding stories, witnessing change, and quietly enduring beyond us.
