Fraulein Rudder, 1932 - 2024

Our Founder, Fraulein Rudder, formed Women In Art Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago in 1996 for the sole purpose of promoting women artists and to create an awareness of the contribution of women in the arts. She designed the covers of several local textbooks and instituted our Biennial art competition for forms five and six students. She also produced and published the coffee table book Women in Art 2000, highlighting 38 local women artists. Fraulein passed on 27the January 2024.
