About the Piece

A national heritage site, All Saints Anglican Church is considered one of the oldest churches in Trinidad and Tobago. Situated at the corner of Marli Street and Queen's Park West, it was consecrated in 1848 as a chapel of ease for Trinity parish. It was later enlarged and made an independent church in 1868. It was built in the neo gothic architectural style with stones from the Laventille quarry. A landmark around the Queen's Park Savannah, one can see its double gabled roof and rondel windows in the gable ends. Its tall lancet windows with stained glass complete this beautiful structure.
