Virginia Pacifique-Marshall

My paintings are mainly abstract characterized by lines, angles and geometric shapes, reflecting a bit of
Picasso's cubism. I draw inspiration from my readings and aspects of our beautiful cultural diversity as
revealed particularly in our unique festivals. All my earlier work, including my Traditional Carnival
Characters, reveal a bit of this style. My later work includes several other festivals and folklore all with an
aim of informing and keeping our culture alive. I delight in expressing my thoughts and feelings in a
colorful interpretation of my reality.
