Journey to Paramin

In these lush fertile scenic Hills of Paramin off Morne Coco Road, Maraval. A lone farmer's simple shack sits peacefully within this scenic valley of narrow steep roads winding through picturesque hills, with its rich soil, just perfect for the food and green seasoning crops. These were made famous since the French Colonization days of cocoa and coffee plantations circa 1783,. To this day, one can still hear Patois(kweyol) spoken by the elders, and popular traditions of Parang and Blue Devils of Carnival emanates from this historical area of Trinidad.
